We are Creating a Learning Society.

We are Creating a Learning Society and making Dormaa East District the most literate constituency in Ghana by 2042 at an estimated cost of 2 million US dollars. We will achieve this by establishing 200 study centres across the district where children Learn to Know, Learn to Collaborate, Learn to Innovate, and Learn to Succeed by building Lifelong Learning habits.

Our Story

It was one fine evening around 7 pm on a Thursday. Mma Ramatu, popularly called Erinya (our mother) was preparing shito for the next day’s waakye. That night, I did not go out to sell kerosene so I sat beside her, observing the lamp light, when I suddenly told her: Erinya, ai ga kwai sukuu.” (“Our Mother, I will go to school.)

What parents are saying

These are testimonies from parents

I was so happy when my daughter’s Sunday school teacher visited our home, visibly excited. She asked if we had hired a special private teacher for my daughter because she had seen a sudden and remarkable improvement in her reading during Sunday school. I smiled and told her, it is because she is now part of the Murabit Project. She was amazed. That same day, I decided to register my younger daughter too. Now, both of them are learning at the Bronikrom Centre and the difference is clear.

I travelled from Sunyani to Wamfie to pay my child’s school fees. While at the school, the headmaster pulled me aside and said, ‘Your child’s performance has really improved—what’s the secret?’ I knew it was because of the Murabit classes. After leaving the school, I passed by the Habitat Centre where my child learns, just to personally thank and reward the teacher for such a great job. The impact is real, and I’m so grateful.
