We are planning an initiative bi this month. We want to partner with Information Centers in Dormaa East.
Our objective is to engage the children in delivering news every weekend. This initiative will not only provide valuable information to the community but also serve as a developmental platform for the children.
Initially, our news coverage will focus on two primary areas:
Education: Highlighting significant educational developments and events in Dormaa East.
Murabit Project: Sharing key updates and progress reports from the Murabit Project. This includes what they have learned during the week or any activity the project did. Eg: They can give news about their current trip to Sunyani to watch the readathon.
As we progress, we envision expanding the content to include a variety of formats such as panel discussions, debates, and more comprehensive news segments.
Hey, we may even end up establishing some small TV Station for them. Anything is possible.
Objectives of the Initiative
1: Raise Awareness: Increase public awareness about the Murabit Project and its impact on the community.
2: Inform the Community: Keep residents informed about significant developments in education within Dormaa East.
3: Enhance Public Speaking Skills: Develop the children’s proficiency and confidence in public speaking, thereby improving their communication skills.
The vision remains the same: To make Dormaa East the most literate constituency in Ghana by 2042 at an estimated cost of 2 million US dollars. We are achieving this by building 200 study centers in Dormaa East where children Learn to Know, Learn to Innovate, and Learn to Succeed.
