Yes, that’s true. Both dropped from Harvard University during their second year – 1975 and 2005 respectively.
But what you may not know is that Bill Gates’s father (William) was a renowned lawyer, highly educated and respected. His mother (Mary) was equally educated and a very influential businesswoman. In fact, it was his mother who gave him the breakthrough. She was a board member of different corporations, and through her, Gates met the then chairman of IBM, John Opel. This connection led to Gates securing the contract to build the operating system for IBM.
As for Mark Zuckerberg, both of his parents are doctors. His father is a Doctor of Dental Surgery, and his mother is a Doctor of Medicine.
So these dropouts were well educated even when they were in the womb. You, descendant of Amadu Zabarma and Mma Ramatu, your parents were cutting mfofoaa and weeding cocoa ase with you in the womb.
In a 2017 speech at the same Harvard he dropped, this was what Mark Zuckerberg said:
“We all know we don’t succeed just by having a good idea or working hard. We succeed by being lucky too.
